Control Tower v22.0.0 - Operations Guide

This feature enables to view all users within logged in the company and even add new users.

Menu Navigation: Your Profile > Personal / Company > Users

 

Reset Login Credentials:

When a new user is created by Admin, an email will be sent to the registered email.

When the user clicks on the link (Click here) provided in the email or copy paste provided URL in the browser.

The system displays the screen where the user can set Login details.

Enter all the fields on the screen and click [Submit].

All the fields on screen are mandatory.

Admin is not allowed to create users more than a defined value. If the number of users exceeds, the system displays a pop-up message as "Users license limit exceeded".

 

Reset Credentials Field Description:

By default, it displays the user email that is entered on the user screen. This is non-editable filed.

Login Name

By default, it displays the name assigned by Admin in editable mode. the user can update the same. 

If the user changes the Login name system checks for the uniqueness on Submit. If the name is available in DB then the system alerts the user with the message "Login Name exists try another name".

Password

Mandatory

the user can update the new password.

Security Question

Mandatory

If Admin selects security question at the time of creating a user, it shows the same in editable mode and the user can update the question.

If Admin has not selected security question at the time of creating a user, then this field is blank and the user can select the question.

Answer

Mandatory

If Admin gives an answer at the time of creating user show the same in editable mode and the user can update the answer.

If Admin has not given an answer at the time of creating a user, then this field is blank and the user can select the answer.

 

Modify or Remove

 

The system will not allow generating a new password for inactive users. The Generate Password option is enabled or disabled based on the option Active? = Yes or Active? = No on the user screen.

If Active? = Yes, admin can generate a new password.

If Active? = No, Generate Password is disabled.

 

Update Password or Generate Password for Existing users:

Click on the Generate Password, an email will be sent to the registered email in the user screen.

When the user clicks on the link (Click here) provided in the email or copy paste provided URL in the browser.

 

The system displays the screen where the user can set a Password details.

Enter all the fields on the screen and click Submit.

If the user clicks on Submit without entering a password, The system displays the message Enter password.

Note:

Whenever a new password is generated by Admin, the users need to reset the auto-generated password with a new password.

Update Password or Generate Password for Existing users Field Description:

For Existing users:

For existing users, those not having a security question, once they Login, the system asks the user to set the security question and answer.

 

Not allowing the Concurrent user login:

If the same user tries to login into the system in different browsers, the system asks to enter Security Answer to validate the user. This is controlled through system parameter “notAllowMultipleSessions

If security answer is incorrect, the system redirects to login page.
