Control Tower v22.0.0 - Operations Guide

Menu Navigation: Track and Trace > New Search

 

1.Select New Search option, and a screen appears.

2.Select/Enter search criteria.

3.Click [Search] to display search results.
If the search results exceed the system limit, a pop-up message appears alerting the user whether to display all the exceeded reports or not.  If [OK] is clicked, all the reports will be displayed.  If [Cancel] is clicked, it continues with the existing records within the pre-defined limit.

 

The field description for Search Criteria screen is in the table below:

Select from the drop-down list whether search scope is based on T.O/P.O/Customs.

By default TO is selected.

Return

Mandatory

Select from the drop-down list to specify return (Based on search scope selection).

The options are

All T.O.

Only Active T.O.

Only Cancelled T.O.

Only Completed T.O.

Note: If the user selects Only Completed T.O. option from the Return drop down and performs a search, then the system fetches only closed shipments from DB.

From Date

Optional

This field displays the date with the gap of six months from the current date. The user can select the date.

Search For Shipment With

Mandatory

Select search criteria of shipment from the drop-down list.

Admin User sets the Tracking Criteria in either Customer Relation or Role modules or both the modules.

If criteria are set at modules, the Track and Track process at user level login will consider the criteria set at Customer Relation and displays for display.

If criteria are not set at both modules, the Track & Track module will consider default criteria.

By default, these parameters are used for searching P.O, T.O and Customs records.

Note: When the user selects search criteria (location/Party/Country) to track shipments, the system enables the drop-down field next to search field and free text field to enter and select the particular search criteria. The drop-down field includes Equals and Contains values. By the values for search criteria is Equals.

This is done to improve the performance of Track and Trace.

Column Format

Optional

Select Column format from the drop-down list. If the user did not select a column format the default list of columns appears.

Save my search criteria as a Search Template

Optional

After entering Search Criteria’s fields,

1.Select the check box Save my Search Criteria as a Search Template, a pop-up window appears.

2.Enter a set of criteria name.

3.Click [Ok] to save the search criteria under “Search Using Templates” menu.
Click [Cancel] to withdraw search criteria as search template (check box is de-selected).
